The Boat on the lake
One of the worst example of uninspired photography: the boat on the lake. One way to make it more uninspired is shooting the sunset or sunrise.
What in the hell can make this kind of photo, that everybody already saw millions times, quite different?
The first idea would be to use lightning differently. Chose a sunset with different colors.
Maybe isolating the boat, framing the horizon in the center of the photo?
Being more classical?
What are we looking at here? Some sunset? Some lake? Some boat? Some reflexions on the water?
That isn't different. That is just more of the same stupid boat on a lake in front of the sunset.
Or I could do some black and white? And forget the sunset? Frame only the boat?
Or I could go back to the more classical framing, still in black and white, with soft focus.
I actually kinda sorta like the mood of this last photo.
But in the end, it is only one more boat on a lake with a sunset.
