Home Made Gps For Nikon

With spare parts I made a GPS for my Nikon cameras.

It's made of a simple GPS module, probably a Neo-6 clone, the cable from a dead remote control, a plastic box, some wires, and paint.

Pretty basic, but it works perfectly: accuracy is something like 12ft 5ft (tested outdoors). It get the fix in less than 30sec.
It's super light so I can keep it directly on the remote port instead of wasting the flash mount..

That will be quite practical for my collaboration with the iNaturalist project.

This one is compatible with the D2hs, D2x, D3, D700, D4 and D800.

It would be super easy to make one for another Nikon with GPS support: basically only the connector changes.
